Yellowknife and the Dettah Ice Road in February

Today we decided to venture out in -49 degree celcius on a little driving adventure around our new home. I decided we would visit the pilot’s point monument and the Dettah Ice Road. We spent no more than 10 minutes at the monument because it was very cold with the wind chill. However, that was nothing compared to the wind chill coming off of Great Slave Lake as we crossed the Dettah Ice Road. Have a look at our pictures below.
