REVIEW: The Diner Restaurant in Yellowknife
Posted on 07. Aug, 2009 by Shane in Business, Restaurants, Reviews, Sightseeing
If you have never experienced a “Mom and Pop” restaurant before then look no further than the Diner Restaurant located at 5008 – 50th Street in downtown Yellowknife. I discovered this hidden little gem through a lunch invitation from my work collegue Jessica. She insisted that this restaurant was a “must try” for any Yellowknifer. The Diner restaurant, locally known for having one of the best all day breakfasts in town, is family owned and tips its hat to a slightly more pioneering look, taste and feel.
There are full menus for both Western and Asian dishes. I ordered up a traditional BLT sandwich with french fries and Jessica took something from the  international side of the menu (see the pictures below). We both thought the service was very friendly and the meals were delivered very quickly (and served with a smile). The food tasted good, our cups were never empty, it was great value for the money and overall we were quite satisfied. Check it out and leave a comment below.

BLT w/ fries and a side of their gravy is the best.
(The unwanted attention of middle-aged customers is pretty consistent as well)
