The Aurora Chorealis Performs: Brahms’ German Requiem

On the evenings of March 29th and 30th the Yellowknife Choral Society’s Aurora Chorealis Choir performed Brahms’ German Requiem to a packed house at the Northern Arts and Cultural Centre in Yellowknife. Both musical evenings were filled with powerful vocals, smooth solos and even an accompaniment of dual pianists on a single piano. Many of the audience’s spoken word reviews heard after each performance included: “They rocked the house!“, “Wow!” and “Intense!“.

This performance was also the last to be conducted by the Yellowknife Choral Society’s longtime Music Director Shad Turner. Mr. Turner will be moving on to other life adventures in Edmonton, Alberta. Check out my photos below. *Click on the images to enlarge the photos*.
