The Aurora Arts Society, 3rd Monthly Artists Demo

On Sunday, December 6, the Aurora Arts Society held its 3rd monthly artists demonstration at the Prince of Whales Northern Heritage Centre in Yellowknife. According to the Aurora Arts Society website “each month, five artists will demonstrate various art forms and techniques and create unique works of art”. The monthly demonstrations are free to attend and it is a great opportunity to meet the artists.

The artists featured this month included Mira Hall, Diane Boudreau, Cathie Harper, Jennifer Walden and Bonny Madsen. Visitors could view the five Yellowknife artists sketching visitors, painting beluga whales, producing basketry sculptures, painting northern scenes, etc. Check out my photos below.
