REVIEW: The Best Hot Dog in Yellowknife

Need a nitrate fix? Looking for the best hot dog in Yellowknife? While strolling down 50th street I came across a small red hot dog stand with all the best fixings and condiments you could ask for. Sensing an imminent hot dog attack – my taste buds went on red alert. I already switched on the mental autopilot because the words: “a hot dog and french fries please” had already left my mouth before I realized what was happening. And then came that first glorious bite of the hot dog.
I fell into some kind of heavenly food bliss while chowing down on that hot dog – like it was my last meal - ever. How could a meal made up of mechanically recovered meats, spices, fillers, preservatives and nitrates placed into a specially designed soft and sliced hot dog bun be so satisfying? Whatever!
But I did have to force myself to stop eating just so that I could take a photo of what was left of my heavenly smoked, cured and grilled meal. The people walking by were probably wondering why a guy with a face full of food was taking a picture of a hot dog and french fries… but one must do what one must do to share the experience with others.
This food vendor gets a 5/5 for providing the tastiest hot dog in Yellowknife. Please feel free to post a comment below.

It is about time that someone is brave / independent enough to review restaurants in Yellowknife… the local rag has been too tied to advertising $$$ to chance offending any chef by critiquing their fare..
