Home for the Holidays: The Warm Up

On December 15 and 16 the Yellowknife Choral Society held a two-night Christmas caroling concert at the Great Hall of the Legislative Assembly. The event was apply titled “Home for the Holidays“. The performance was a collaboration of the Aurora Chorealis, the Yellowknife Chamber Choir and the Fireweed Children’s Chorus with special guests. Home for the Holidays was directed by Margo Nightingale, Shad Turner and Jackie Boersma.
Before the performance could start there was the warm up. And, as you can see below, warming up can be a mix of serious vocal exercises, staging, choreography and fun with a little silliness thrown in (thanks to a few of the younger folk who like to get their picture taken) – you know who you are.
