Home for the Holidays: The Caroling

There is nothing like the sound of an amazing choir at Christmas – especially when you get treated with two-nights of it. And with an event name like “Home for the Holidays“ you cannot go wrong. As shown in the previous post – on December 15 and 16 the Yellowknife Choral Society held this spectacular Christmas caroling concert at the Great Hall of the Legislative Assembly.
The performance was a collaboration of the Aurora Chorealis, the Yellowknife Chamber Choir and the Fireweed Children’s Chorus with special guests. The three choir’s vocal talents were on display for this performance and their level of professionalism could have made you forget where you were - Carnegie Hall anyone? Yes they were that good and thanks to these amazing singers I am rapidly becoming one of their biggest fans.
It was a dreamy night of vocal excellence and the Christmas spirit was ringing in the ears and resounding in the heart long after the caroling was over. Home for the Holidays was directed by Margo Nightingale, Shad Turner and Jackie Boersma. Click on the images to enlarge the photos.
