Thanks for the great tips.  A friend and I did this hike this morning and it was gorgeous!  I wonder, though, have you been back recently since you made this post?  We actually lost our way and didn&#039;t ever find the high point and vista that you described but rather ended up on the shore of the lake.  The trail markers seem to decline in number dramatically after about half an hour of hiking.  If you or anyone else familiar with the route is back on the trail in the future, maybe the trail markers could be renewed.  Thanks so much for your blog - it&#039;s a great resource for visitors to wonderful Yellowknife!</description>

Too bad we don&#039;t have a car (yet), so for now we stick to the trails we can go to by bike or are in walking distance.</description>
