Escape to Las Vegas Part 2: People Watching
Posted on 23. Nov, 2009 by Shane in Everything Else, Traveling
On my recent Escape to Las Vegas, an essential escape from the isolation, one of my favorite things to do was people watching. Anyone who has been to Las Vegas knows there are a lot of people to watch. People from all around the world converge on Las Vegas to escape from their part of the world for a myriad of reasons too. Some of those reasons include letting loose with no inhibitions, experiencing the extremes in all their forms, to gamble and win, to shop until you drop, to party all night long, to meet new people, to escape from reality, to see celebrities, etc.
The interesting thing about taking photos of people is finding out just how much people are looking back at you too. In a place like Las Vegas, everyone is watching you as much as you are watching them. I used both my Sony DSC-W290 point-and-shoot camera in addition to my Nikon d300s for this collection. With the Nikon, I was able to capture more than just moments and movements - I was also able to capture some emotions too. There will be a couple pages of photos in this post so when you get to the bottom be sure to view ‘page 2′ as well. Click on the images to enlarge the photos.

Hey Shane, this is so cool, it must run in our crazy family to people watch, because I LOVE IT. I find them so interesting and I love seeing the faces of people when they don’t know your looking. I probably will never go to vegas (not on my top places to go) but I am glad you had fun and its cool to see pictures of things other than the strip.
See ya at Christmas!!!

I’m so not impressed with those guys wearing T-shirts that say “Girls direct to you in 20 minutes”. But besides that those are some excellent people watching photos. That’s single-handedly my favorite sport!
