On my way to the Yellowknife City Hall I encountered a beautiful October sunset over Frame Lake. The pictures below capture some of that visual experience. In two months from now Yellowknifer’s will be seeing a lot more sunset’s like this one during the middle of the day as the days get shorter. During the deep cold winter months the sun barely leaves the horizon line. Over those few hours of (dim) daylight it looks as though the sun is constantly setting (never fully getting light out). Some of those dark days only get as light as the photos shown below.

    Nice pictures,
I am becoming so curious about Yellowknife and found this website, I really like what you have in here and I it’s answering many of my questions about how life in Yellowknife is, I find it so amazing since I am from a warm country (Mexico) but currently in Vancouver, maybe I’ll take a chance and go know the real thing at the Knife.

    Congratulations for the pictures!!!
    Daniel
