An October Fog in Yellowknife
Posted on 06. Oct, 2009 by Shane in Sightseeing, Yellowknife
Mother Nature is always throwing something interesting at Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories. Often that happens to be in the form of intense storms, extreme temperatures or some kind of super-sized weather that appears to be on steroids. Today that came in the form of a massive fog that rolled in from Great Slave Lake. Although it was not extreme or intense – it was big, thick and eerie. It was so foggy that flights at the airport were grounded and incoming flights were diverted to another city. Have a look at my photos below… and please be sure to leave a comment!

Beautiful. The fog in town is eerie all right but the forest/lake pictures are just beautiful. I’ve always wanted to see what the far north was like, can’t get there in person so this is the next best thing. Just discovered your site today, it’s great!

Glad you like. You should really see it in person some day.
