Welcome to my personal guided tour of life in Yellowknife and the Northwest Territories.

This blog of Yellowknife Photos and light commentary is a personal account of my life adventures (and those I share them with) in the big wild enormous un-populated North of Canada!

My goal (at present) is to provide the visitor (that means you the reader) with access to some Yellowknife centric photos, videos, lifestyle blurbs, adventure ideas, hiking tips, mountain biking advice, personal commentary and stories about the northern (arctic) life experience.

Generally speaking, the vast majority of the content of the Life in the Knife is comprised of my observations, my point of view and my life in the North. The pictures will also tell their own stories and some experiences may vary depending on the time of year, the mood of the occasion, who you are or what you like. Thus, the LifeintheKnife.com website is what it is… a recorded personal account and picture history of Life in the Knife (Yellowknife) – waaaay up here (or there) in the sub-arctic North of Canada.
